Meets every 3rd Friday of the Month ** No Meetings in June, July & December** Ongoing training and support will be provided on positive discipline, the importance of brain structure and development in early childhood, and how to care for babies in the Child Welfare System. Group Leader: MaryAnn Paschal Topic: We will explain what Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is, what it looks like in children who come from trauma histories, how prevalent it is in foster care, treatment options, and what a Resource Parent’s role is in helping children heal. ***Please Note: This class will be facilitated on the Zoom platform. Internet access and access to a computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone is required to attend. For our support group meetings, all participants must have their cameras on, regardless of whether they are seeking credit or not. This requirement is designed to encourage full engagement and connection among participants, fostering a more supportive atmosphere within our community. Please note that individuals unable to participate with their cameras on will not be able to join the support group sessions. We kindly request that participants avoid using distracting virtual backgrounds. For privacy, we recommend using the blur feature instead. You cannot take this class in a vehicle.
