Online | Parenting Teens Support Group: Child Development Series- Late Teens (15-18 years)
Meets every 2nd Thursday of the month
**No Meeting in December**
Support Group Leader: MaryJo Meer
It is important to understand that developmental milestones are not met by age; they are developed through experiences. For children who have experienced abuse and neglect, emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development may be delayed due to a lack of care and interaction. In this series, we will examine development across 6 age groups. What it should look like, how you can help with development, and the resources available to help.
- Late Teens (15-18 years)- This is a time of changes for how teenagers think, feel, and interact with others, and how their bodies grow. Relationships with friends are still important, yet your teens will have other interests as he develops a clearer sense of who he is. This is also an important time to prepare for more independence and responsibility. Let’s talk about how to meet the needs of our older teens.
