DESCRIPTION:Meets every 2nd Thursday of the month\n**No Meeting in December
 **\nSupport Group Leader: MaryJo Meer\n\nIt is important to understand tha
 t developmental milestones are not met by age\; they are developed through
  experiences. For children who have experienced abuse and neglect\, emotio
 nal\, social\, cognitive\, and physical development may be delayed due to 
 a lack of care and interaction. In this series\, we will examine developme
 nt across 6 age groups. What it should look like\, how you can help with d
 evelopment\, and the resources available to help.\n\n 	Late Teens (15-18 y
 ears)- This is a time of changes for how teenagers think\, feel\, and inte
 ract with others\, and how their bodies grow. Relationships with friends a
 re still important\, yet your teens will have other interests as he develo
 ps a clearer sense of who he is. This is also an important time to prepare
  for more independence and responsibility. Let’s talk about how to meet 
 the needs of our older teens.\n\n***Please Note: This class will be facili
 tated on the Zoom platform.\n Internet access and access to a computer/lap
 top/tablet/smartphone is required to attend.\nFor our support group meetin
 gs\, all participants must have their cameras on\, regardless of whether 
 they are seeking credit or not. This requirement is designed to encourage 
 full engagement and connection among participants\, fostering a more suppo
 rtive atmosphere within our community. Please note that individuals unable
  to participate with their cameras on will not be able to join the support
  group sessions.\nWe kindly request that participants avoid using distract
 ing virtual backgrounds. For privacy\, we recommend using the blur feature
