
Online | Exploring Childhood Trauma and the Developing Brain
Instructor: Dr. Megan Zappitelli
Description: This workshop will provide Resource Families with an overview of the typical brain organization and childhood development to help better understand the impact of traumatic experiences on the development of the brain including the psychological, developmental, as well as the neurological impacts of early adverse experiences. Resource Parents will be provided with tools for assessing and understanding traumatized, neglected and abused children and learn about developmentally appropriate and trauma‐informed treatment options for children with these experiences. Lastly, families will learn about the healing power of relationships and community.
