Meets every 3rd Friday of the Month ** No Meetings in June, July & December** Ongoing training and support will be provided on positive discipline, the importance of brain structure and development in early childhood, and how to care for babies in the Child Welfare System. Group Leader: MaryAnn Paschal Topic: It is important to know that developmental milestones are not met by age; they are developed by experiences. For children who have experienced abuse and neglect, emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development may be delayed due to a lack of care and interaction. In this series, we will look at development within 6 age groups. What it should look like, how you can help with development, and the resources available to help. ***Please Note: This class will be facilitated on the Zoom platform. Internet access and access to a computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone is required to attend. For our support group meetings, all participants must have their cameras on, regardless of whether they are seeking credit or not.
