Online | Resource Round Up- Training & Support: Social Media TIPS for Youth in Foster Care
Meets every 3rd Thursday of each month
**No meetings in November & December**
Support Group Leader: Carrie Collins
Resource Round Up: No one should navigate the child welfare system alone. Join us for Resource Round Up, a dedicated space where foster and kinship parents gather to share advice, process the emotional waves of fostering, and trade vital community resources. Come for the practical tips, stay for the community.
Topic: From that trendy sound your child loves to the filter they can’t get enough of, you probably know that social media apps are a fun tool for expressing yourself and staying in the know—and you also might know that they can be risky. This class will provide a roadmap for parents to teach their children how to have a safer social media experience.
For our training & support meetings, all participants must have their cameras on, regardless of whether they are seeking credit or not. This requirement is designed to encourage full engagement and connection among participants, fostering a more supportive atmosphere within our community. Please note that individuals unable to participate with their cameras on will not be able to join the sessions.
