Description: “People who Abuse” is a class that explores the phenomenon of why individuals engage in abusive behaviors. This course will explore the psychological, sociocultural, and interpersonal factors that contribute to abuse. Through defining abuse and exploring different contexts surrounding abuse participants will be able to understand the psychological genesis, dynamics, societal norms, and individual vulnerabilities that underlie abusive thinking and behaviors.
