Description: This workshop introduces practical trauma-informed communication skills to help caregivers build trust, safety, and stronger relationships with children and families who have experienced trauma. Participants will explore foundational concepts of trauma, its types, causes, and effects, and learn strategies to create psychologically safe environments through effective communication, trauma-informed interpretations of behavior, and supportive co-regulation. The session also provides tools for de-escalation and resilience-building that can be applied immediately in daily interactions.
