Description: The Inherent Strengths in Kinship Families is a strength-based training series developed by Dr. Joseph Crumbley for kinship caregivers. Each standalone workshop explores a topic unique to kinship families, such as attachment, legacy, identity, healing, adaptability, and co-parenting, and provides practical strategies to support children and strengthen family resilience.
Legacy: This workshop explores how sharing legacies can strengthen connections between kinship caregivers and children. Caregivers will learn how family history, traditions, and rites of passage can be used to build stronger bonds, create new positive legacies, and interrupt unhelpful family cycles.
