Online | Fostering Changes
Attachment theory proposes that defective attachments (which foster youth are known to experience) can produce psychological problems, as well as other poor outcomes, including educational, social, physical and ongoing mental health problems, that may span a lifetime. It is for that reason that the promotion of healthy attachment is critical in all foster youth. This workshop will provide caregivers with logical explanations of attachment theory, attachment patterns, children behavior, stages of grief and loss and how it affects attachment, and interventions. Learn what you can do to promote better outcomes for your children.
