Online | Mental Health for Children and Teens: Guidance for Resource Parents
Parents are as responsible for children’s mental health as physical health and safety. This class highlights what contributes to good mental health and resilience including mental health first aide. Some risk and complicating factors particularly associated with child trauma and foster care contribute to common mental health difficulties and diagnoses. Participants will learn and practice their parts in preventing and treating mental health issues. Specifically, the class will address suicide, assessment, prevention, and safety planning.
