

Online | Mental Health First Aid: Basic Skills for Recognizing and Responding to Mental Health Crises in Children and Teens

This presentation is designed to equip foster parents with essential tools for recognizing and responding to mental health issues in the children and adolescents in their care. The goal is to provide practical knowledge that will help them identify signs of emotional distress, depression, anxiety, and other common disorders. Through examples and interactive exercises, participants will learn how to address emotional crises, provide appropriate
support, and when to seek professional help. By the end, foster parents will be better prepared to create a safe and supportive environment that promotes the emotional well‐being of their children.
