Online | Honoring Your Child’s Story Through Lifebooks
Lifebooks are an integral part of a child’s life and are created to assist a child in telling their story. It is a tool used in both foster care and adoption as It helps the child create a visual confirmation of their existence. It is an opportunity for communication that helps to facilitate trust, connection, and attachment. Lifebooks as a way for the caregiver and child to review the child’s life experiences and document the child’s life story. Creating a Lifebook is much more than a scrapbook; it is a vehicle for the child to understand his or her life experiences and be able to heal from those experiences.
