A guide for 2024

Self care is a form of art. Incorporating a time for self care into our daily routine makes a real difference in terms of our mental, physical and emotional well‐being. As caretakers of children and youth it is particularly important that we also take care of ourselves. Having a regular self care practice helps not only to reduce stress, but also improves our overall health, lives and relationships with others. We will practice ways of taking care of ourselves that foster a sense of well‐being, happiness and gratitude and benefit our interpersonal relationships.

All Resource parents are encouraged to join us for a half day of self care to nourish our bodies, minds and hearts. Practices include gentle yoga stretches and qigong movements, guided relaxations and meditations. It also includes opportunities for meaningful sharing with one another and learning from each other about self care.

Facilitated by Bettina Heitmann
