In Person | Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) The Human Library Experience
Description: Imagine having the author of their autobiography in front of you reading their story, and providing a safe space to ask them questions and be curious without fear of any judgment. The BIPOC Human Library Experience is just that. It helps to address unconscious bias and creates a brave space for dialogue between non‐BIPOC individuals and BIPOC individuals where topics are discussed openly between human books and their readers. The BIPOC Human Library Experience aims to address people’s prejudices by helping them to talk and learn from those they would not normally meet. It uses a library analogy of lending people rather than books. During this session, participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the Human Library concept and see the process in action.
