Canceled | Child Development: the Role of Sensory Perception
**This class has been canceled**
This class will take place in an outdoor setting and social distancing will be followed
Description: Children with sensory processing disorders have difficulty processing information from the senses: touch, movement, smell, taste, vision, and hearing. We will explore the role of sensory perception in a child’s growth and development. Sensory perception starts in utero with the physical development of the baby, so early intervention is imperative. Learn how to identify delays to seek out services to maximize a child’s potential. We will use activities to help caregivers experience first-hand the impact of delays in sensory perception and also learn how to adapt parenting techniques to meet your child’s sensory processing issues.
