Meets every 3rd Friday of the Month ** No Meetings in July & December** Ongoing training and support will be provided on positive discipline, the importance of brain structure and development in early childhood, and how to care for babies in the Child Welfare System. Group Leader: MaryAnn Paschal The Early Years Matter: The ultimate goal of the First 5 Commission’s work is that all children ages 0 to 5 are healthy, are loved and nurtured, become active learners and that parents know the vital importance of the first five years of life to the well-being of children, families, and society. This workshop will utilize the First 5 San Diego Parent Kit: a free parenting resource that includes advice and useful tips to best strengthen the relationships essential for the healthy development of young children.
***Please Note: This class will be facilitated on the Zoom platform. Internet access and access to a computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone is required to attend. For our support group meetings, all participants must have their cameras on, regardless of whether they are seeking credit or not. This requirement is designed to encourage full engagement and connection among participants, fostering a more supportive atmosphere within our community. Please note that individuals unable to participate with their cameras on will not be able to join the support group sessions.
