Topic: When you receive a request to care for a child or children in the San Diego County foster care program, it is essential to be aware of several critical aspects. There are specific rules to follow and children’s rights to respect throughout the placement process. You will need to coordinate and facilitate visits, comply with court requirements, and manage all necessary paperwork associated with the child’s care. Navigating these responsibilities can be complex, but with guidance, you can better understand and organize your priorities to provide effective support and care for children in foster care.

Internet access and access to a computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone is required to attend.
For our support group meetings, all participants must have their cameras on, regardless of whether they are seeking credit or not. This requirement is designed to encourage full engagement and connection among participants, fostering a more supportive atmosphere within our community. Please note that individuals unable to participate with their cameras on will not be able to join the support group sessions.
We kindly request that participants avoid using distracting virtual backgrounds. For privacy, we recommend using the blur feature instead.
