Online | Parenting the Sexually Abused Child
Parenting requires meeting the developmental, emotional, physical, and social needs of children including sexuality. This class covers normal sexual development and facilitating healthy sexual development including gender, gender expression, and sexual orientation. Participants will be able to differentiate between normal and concerning sexual behavior. Parents will learn their role in the investigation and treatment of child sexual abuse including managing the home environment and interactions with others in the community, home, and school. The class will use frank language and examples.
