Grieving the Child that Did Not Die: If you experience grief and loss when your foster child leaves your home, it’s a reflection of the love that developed between you and your child; a reflection of the love that you gave a child in need. As you know, children in foster care need us to love them; they need us to feel for them. When they leave our homes, we should grieve for them, as it simply means that we have given them what they need the most: our love.
***Please Note: This class will be facilitated on the Zoom platform.
Internet access and access to a computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone is required to attend.
For our support group meetings, all participants must have their cameras on, regardless of whether they are seeking credit or not. This requirement is designed to encourage full engagement and connection among participants, fostering a more supportive atmosphere within our community. Please note that individuals unable to participate with their cameras on will not be able to join the support group sessions.
We kindly request that participants avoid using distracting virtual backgrounds. For privacy, we recommend using the blur feature instead.
You cannot take this class in a vehicle.
