Topic: Birth Parents with Trauma Histories- Resource families will discuss how a birth parents’ past or present trauma can make it difficult for them to work effectively with case workers and Resource Parents toward reunification with their children. We will cover how to not take their behavior personally, how to establish clear boundaries and expectations, and how to protect yourself from secondary trauma.
