Trauma can cause delays in children’s emotional development, wiring them to have difficulty feeling, managing and expressing emotions. They often experience feelings so intense they either try to ignore or stuff them or end up acting them out through problematic behavior. In this interactive webinar, you’ll learn a basic listening and problem‐solving process for teaching children how to express their emotions and make responsible decisions or find solutions independently. You’ll also learn several methods for supporting children in working through intense or overwhelming emotions so they can experience deeper resolution and move on without as much emotional baggage.
