Online | Dynamics of Substance Abuse and The Impact on the Family
A Parent’s behavior with a substance abuse disorder can vary and can have a multifaceted impact on children. Parental substance abuse can also impact prenatal, early childhood and adolescent development. Participants will learn about the dynamics of drug and alcohol addictions, treatment modalities and expectations from the court and Child Welfare Services for parents who struggle with substance abuse. This class will look at the impact of substance abuse on the entire family when children are brought into care.
