

Online | San Diego Foster Parent Association (SDFPA)-Support Group: Meaningful Visitation
Meets every 1st Thursday of each month

Topic: This workshop will focus on ways to keep visits child-centered and meaningful for both foster children and the birth parents, and discuss the importance of visitation, understanding the developmental needs of the foster children, and how important it is for the foster children to have positive relationships with their birth family. We will also identify the role and responsibilities of those planning the visits.
***Please Note: This class will be facilitated on the Zoom platform.
Internet access and access to a computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone is required to attend.
For our support group meetings, all participants must have their cameras on, regardless of whether they are seeking credit or not. This requirement is designed to encourage full engagement and connection among participants, fostering a more supportive atmosphere within our community. Please note that individuals unable to participate with their cameras on will not be able to join the support group sessions.
We kindly request that participants avoid using distracting virtual backgrounds. For privacy, we recommend using the blur feature instead.
