Online | South Bay Support Group: Why Rewards Don’t Work
Meets every 4th Wednesday of the month
**No meeting in November**
Support Group Leader: Rosie Villegas
Why Rewards Don’t Work: Why Rewards Don’t Work: Just as consequences don’t work in parenting, neither do rewards. It has also been suggested that rewards can decrease natural motivation, creativity, and enjoyment. When parents lead with empathy and truly listen to their children’s needs, children in return are more likely to listen and reciprocate what they are being told. Join us to learn some tips on how changing your approach rather than giving rewards can be more effective when parenting children and youth.
Registration will close on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 12 pm
