Online | Foster to Forever Support Group: Grief and Loss in Foster Care

An opportunity to meet with other foster/adoptive families to share experiences, discuss the foster/adoption process, and support each other while awaiting a foster/adoptive placement.

Topic: When children come into care, there is usually little discussion as to what they want to happen and how they feel about it, and no one is able to tell them how the case will end. With the loss of their home, family, school, friends, and everything familiar, why wouldn’t they grieve? We should expect grief in Foster Care, and we need to learn how to help them through it.

Internet access and access to a computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone is required to attend.
For our support group meetings, all participants must have their cameras on, regardless of whether they are seeking credit or not. This requirement is designed to encourage full engagement and connection among participants, fostering a more supportive atmosphere within our community. Please note that individuals unable to participate with their cameras on will not be able to join the support group sessions.
We kindly request that participants avoid using distracting virtual backgrounds. For privacy, we recommend using the blur feature instead.
You cannot take this class in a vehicle.
