Online | Foster to Forever Support Group: Helping Children Develop Healthy Personal Relationships

An opportunity to meet with other foster/adoptive families to share experiences, discuss the foster/adoption process, and support each other while awaiting a foster/adoptive placement.
Group Leader: Rhonda Oliver
Topic: Many foster children have difficulty with social skills and self-esteem and are at risk of developing unhealthy personal relationships. They may need help to avoid friendships or closer relationships where there is controlling, bullying, “buying” friends, or relational violence on either side. We will discuss ways for resource parents to help children of all ages know what to look for and avoid in their personal relationships.
***Please Note: This class will be facilitated on the Zoom platform.
Internet access and access to a computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone is required to attend.
For our support group meetings, all participants must have their cameras on, regardless of whether they are seeking credit or not. This requirement is designed to encourage full engagement and connection among participants, fostering a more supportive atmosphere within our community. Please note that individuals unable to participate with their cameras on will not be able to join the support group sessions.
We kindly request that participants avoid using distracting virtual backgrounds. For privacy, we recommend using the blur feature instead.
You cannot take this class in a vehicle.
