Meets every 3rd Thursday of each month **No meetings in June, November & December** Support Group Leader: Carrie Collins Topic: The relationship with a parent or primary caregiver is critical to a child’s sense of self, safety, and trust. However, children experience the loss of a caregiver, either permanently due to death or for varying amounts of time due to other circumstances. Children may develop posttraumatic responses when separated from their caregiver. This workshop provides information and suggestions on how to help children who experience traumatic separation from a caregiver.
***Please Note: This class will be facilitated on the Zoom platform. Internet access and access to a computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone is required to attend. For our support group meetings, all participants must have their cameras on, regardless of whether they are seeking credit or not. This requirement is designed to encourage full engagement and connection among participants, fostering a more supportive atmosphere within our community. Please note that individuals unable to participate with their cameras on will not be able to join the support group sessions. We kindly request that participants avoid using distracting virtual backgrounds. For privacy, we recommend using the blur feature instead. You cannot take this class in a vehicle.
