Trust Based Parenting Relational Interventions: A Model to Promote Healing with At-Risk Children and their Families

When

05/23/2017
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

In conjunction with San Diego Youth Services’ Adoption Class, this highly recommended workshop should not be missed.

The purpose of this workshop is to provide a framework that includes research-based principles and practices, and new strategies that you will be able to apply in your work with at-risk children through the understanding and use of Empowering Principles, Connecting Principles and Correcting Principles.  Participants will understand the basic attachment styles for both children and adults and the resulting positive and negative relational patterns, be aware of the antecedents for secure attachment and gain skills needed to build secure attachment in clients, as well as understand the critical importance of sensory processing for survival and how chronic trauma can negatively impact the proper functioning of the sensory system. And so much more!
