May Topic: Did you know fentanyl is a very powerful opioid that is 100 times stronger than morphine and just a very small amount of this drug can cause an overdose death? Did you also know San Diego County fentanyl related deaths increased approximately 200% from 152 deaths in 2019 to approximately 456 deaths in 2020 (final toxicology tests pending for some 2020 deaths)? Did you know 19 teens died from fentanyl related deaths in 2020? The youngest was 14 years of age.
Join us to learn more about this growing issue in our county and what you can do to prevent it!
