DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Michelle McGowan\, Special Education Advocate\n\nMi
 chelle is a dedicated Special Education Advocate with over 20 years of exp
 erience supporting students with disabilities\, including Autism\, ADHD\, 
 Dyslexia\, Emotional Disturbance\, and Intellectual Impairment. She is als
 o involved in the District Attorney’s Juvenile Diversion Initiative\, wh
 ere she works to keep youth diploma-bound\, collaborates with schools to o
 verturn expulsions\, and empowers parents to understand their children’s
  educational rights.\n\nDescription: Evaluations provide critical informat
 ion that shapes eligibility\, services\, and supports. In this workshop\, 
 caregivers will learn how to interpret psychoeducational evaluations\, und
 erstand eligibility categories\, identify concerns with incomplete or inac
 curate assessments\, and determine when an Independent Educational Evaluat
 ion (IEE) may be appropriate. Participants will also explore how to use ev
 aluation data effectively when advocating for services.\n\n\nInterested in

 ducational program designed to help caregivers understand special educatio
 n\, navigate the IEP process\, and become confident advocates for their ch
