 l\, Resource/Adoptive Parent \n\n\nDescription: It is our responsibility 
 to understand that caring for children who have endured traumas in early c
 hildhood (and some worst case imaginable) including in utero and the exper
 ience of toxic stress\, impacts a child’s neurodevelopment. This impact 
 can effect intellectual functioning\, reading ability\, social skills\, m
 emory\, attention\, focusing skills\, and sensory processing\; and can oft
 en times impact the child lifelong. Having a better understanding of brain
  development and the impact early trauma and toxic stress can have on the 
 brain and body can serve a great purpose on how we care for children from 
 foster care\, as well as how families are supported to provide nurturing a
 nd trauma informed care to the children in their care.\nRegistration will 
 close on Monday\, February 12\, 2024\, at 12 pm \n***Please Note: This cl
 ass will be facilitated on the online platform called Zoom. Internet acces
 s and access to a computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone is required to attend.
