DESCRIPTION:Join is for a special presentation with Dr. Ham about the effec
 ts of childhood neglect on adults\; and how the opposite of trauma is lear
 ning to live in the present. By learning about the impact of childhood tra
 uma on adults and focusing on what the core secret is to healing\, this wo
 rkshop aims to better understand how we can help youth to heal from their 
 current trauma/s and how Resource Parents can guide them to towards resili
 ency and help them lead successful lives.\n\nSpecial Guest Speaker: Dr. J
 acob Ham\, \, Director of the Center for Child Trauma and Resilience in Ne
 w York\n\nDr. Ham is a clinical psychologist\, Associate Clinical Professo
 r in Psychiatry\, and Director of the Center for Child Trauma and Resilien
 ce at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He spends much of his t
 ime training and consulting others in treating and working with children\,
  families and adults who have experienced trauma. He has received numerous
  federal and local grants focused on developing and disseminating trauma
 ‐informed practices and evaluating trauma informed programs. Dr. Ham pro
 vides psychotherapy through his faculty practice and collaborates on resea
 rch in child traumatic stress and psychotherapy. His clinical focus is on 
 applying modern relational approaches to the treatment of complex trauma i
 n children and adults.\n\nDr. Ham has a YouTube channel and a blog through
  which he shares his clinical musings for the sake of helping others heal 
 from trauma.\n\n&nbsp\;\nRegistration will close on Wednesday\, May 10\, 2
