DESCRIPTION:Guest Speakers\nGayathri (Gaya) Chelvakumar\, MD\, MPH is an at
 tending physician in the\nDivision of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine 
 at Rady Children’s Hospital and an Associate Clinical Professor of Pedia
 trics at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Clinically she has expertise in 
 providing care to adolescents and young adults\, with a focus on youth who
  may be particularly vulnerable to negative health outcomes including tran
 sgender and gender diverse youth\, LGB youth\, youth experiencing homeless
 ness\, and justice‐involved youth.\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nb
 sp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n&nbsp\;\nDr. Kanani Titchen is an adoles
 cent medicine specialist and Associate Professor at UCSD who\nspecializes 
 in caring for preteens\, teens\, and young adults at Rady Children's Hospi
 tal Medical Behavioral Unit (MBU) for patients with eating disorders. She 
 also sees outpatients at the UCSD/RADY Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Me
 dicine Clinic. She serves as Director of the Adolescent and Young Adult Me
 dicine Medical Student Rotation and Sub‐Internship for the Department of
  Pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She is also an adoptive pa
 rent.\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\nDescription: Led by local
  experts\, this training will provide a brief recap of the neurobiology th
 at influences behaviors during adolescence\, the impact of childhood traum
 a on the brain and behavior\, as well as a variety of strategies for worki
 ng with early‐\, mid‐\, and late‐adolescent aged kids. Topics such a
 s hygiene\, sleep regulation and meals\, to issues around technology use\,
  injurious behaviors\, and healthy relationships will be discussed.\nRegis
