A joint collaboration with San Diego Youth Services, you are invited to join us for this special training engagement where guest trainer Jeanette Yoffe will assist social workers and resource parents “gain the tools” to talk with children about their foster care or adoption story in a therapeutic and age- appropriate manner. Participants will learn how to tell children about their adoption/foster care story including when, how much, what, the whole truth, and build the confidence to answer difficult questions.

Participants will also learn interventions to help fostered and adopted youth understand, gain meaning and “make sense” of their story. Experiential exercises will be provided for participants to practice. This training is for Resource Parents, including Kinship parents, adoption social workers and therapists that work with adoptive families. This is a training you won’t want to miss!
