DESCRIPTION:Meets 4th Wednesday of the Month\n**no meeting in November &amp
 \; December**\nSupport Group Leader: MaryJo Meer\n\nTopic: The Federal Ch
 ild Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) requires each State to have
  provisions or procedures for requiring certain individuals to report know
 n or suspected instances of child abuse and neglect. This workshop will di
 scuss the laws that designate the groups of professionals that are require
 d to report cases of suspected child abuse and neglect and reporting by ot
 her persons\, the responsibilities of institutions in making reports\, sta
 ndards for making a report\, and the confidentiality of the reporter's ide
 ntity.\n***Please Note: This class will be facilitated on the Zoom platfor
 m.\n Internet access and access to a computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone is 
 required to attend.\nFor our support group meetings\, all participants mus
 t have their cameras on\, regardless of whether they are seeking credit o
 r not. This requirement is designed to encourage full engagement and conne
 ction among participants\, fostering a more supportive atmosphere within o
 ur community. Please note that individuals unable to participate with thei
 r cameras on will not be able to join the support group sessions.\nWe kind
