DESCRIPTION:Description: Children who have experienced trauma may have last
 ing impacts that affect their relationships and emotions. They may percei
 ve certain situations as dangerous and rightfully respond to triggers with
  fear or anger without understanding why. Children may internalize troubli
 ng feelings\, making healthy attachment and emotion management\nchallengin
 g. That’s why it’s important for caregivers to use social-emotional le
 arning and parenting skills that help children develop emotional intellige
 nce and healthy relationship skills.\n\nThe Foster-Adoptive Parents Toolsh
 op® training series is a comprehensive 30+ hour evidence-based\, trauma i
 nformed parenting curriculum for foster and kinship caregivers and adoptiv
 e parents. The entire series will be offered over the next 8 months\, Sep
 tember 2022\, June 2023 and will be taught by the curriculum’s author Jo
 dy Johnston Pawel\, LSW\, CFLE\, CTSS.\nWhile each individual workshop is 
 valuable as a stand-alone workshop\, when combined they create a parenting
  system called The Universal Blueprint® for Parenting Success. You can us
 e this universal system to prevent common parenting challenges and plan pe
 rsonalized responses and solutions to those that arise\, based on the chil
 d\, circumstance\, and family involved. The series offers an overview of 
 the system and its tools\, plus the in-depth workshops in order\, so they
