The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry states that the average US child between 8‐12 years old spends 4 to 6 hours watching or using a screen and teenagers spend up to 9 hours a day. Too much screen time can lead to things like sleep deprivation, physical strain to your eyes and body, and impaired socializing skills. It can also lead to things like poor self‐image, mood problems, cyberbullying, and watching videos of stunts or challenges that may inspire unsafe behaviors. Guardians who take this class will learn the different effects of too much screen‐time, how to develop a screen‐time plan with your family, and how to encourage screen‐ free activities.

Registration will close on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 7am
