DESCRIPTION:Meets every 1st Thursday of each month\n***No meetings in Janua
 ry\, July\, and December***\nLeader: MaryJo Meer\n\nTopic: Children with 
 medical complexity are a unique population with intensive medical and soci
 al needs. The amount of commitment needed to care for these children will 
 be much higher\, and specialized training will be required in most cases. 
 Resource parents must be willing to advocate for the child's needs\, which
  include learning about medical needs and treatment\, going to meetings an
 d therapies\, and working with the school system. Resource parents can gre
 atly benefit from having a support system\, having access to resources\, a
 nd knowing how to navigate all the systems needed to care for their kids. 
 Join us for a conversation about how to navigate these systems and care fo
 r kids with high medical needs.\n***Please Note: This class will be facili
 tated on the Zoom platform.\n Internet access and access to a computer/lap
 top/tablet/smartphone is required to attend.\nFor our support group meetin
 gs\, all participants must have their cameras on\, regardless of whether 
 they are seeking credit or not. This requirement is designed to encourage 
 full engagement and connection among participants\, fostering a more suppo
 rtive atmosphere within our community. Please note that individuals unable
  to participate with their cameras on will not be able to join the support
  group sessions.\nWe kindly request that participants avoid using distract
