 nt to know that developmental milestones are not met by age\; they are dev
 eloped by experiences. For children who have experienced abuse and neglect
 \, emotional\, social\, cognitive\, and physical development may be delaye
 d due to a lack of care and interaction. In this series\, we will look at 
 development within 6 age groups. What it should look like\, how you can he
 lp with development\, and the resources available to help.\n\n 	Early Teen
 s (12-14 years)- This is a time of many physical\, mental\, emotional\, an
 d social changes. They become more independent\, with their own personalit
 y and interests\, although parents are still very important. Let’s talk 
 about how to meet the needs of our young teens.\n\n***Please Note: This cl
 ass will be facilitated on the Zoom platform.\n Internet access and access
  to a computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone is required to attend.\nFor our su
 pport group meetings\, all participants must have their cameras on\, rega
 rdless of whether they are seeking credit or not. This requirement is desi
 gned to encourage full engagement and connection among participants\, fost
 ering a more supportive atmosphere within our community. Please note that 
 individuals unable to participate with their cameras on will not be able t
 o join the support group sessions.\nWe kindly request that participants av
 oid using distracting virtual backgrounds. For privacy\, we recommend usin
