DESCRIPTION:Meets every 1st Thursday of each month\n***No meetings in Janua
 ry\, July\, and December***\nLeader: MaryJo Meer\n\nSan Diego County Foste
 r Parent Association- offers foster\, kinship\, and adoptive caregivers a 
 comfortable space to learn\, connect\, and feel supported. Through practic
 al education\, helpful resources\, and meaningful conversation\, participa
 nts can strengthen their caregiving skills\, build community with others w
 ho understand the foster care journey\, and earn training credits on topic
 s such as trauma-informed care\, behavior management\, and positive discip
 line.\n\nTopic: This workshop will help participants know what to be awar
 e of and how to recognize the emotional needs of children who have experie
 nced trauma by focusing on their emotional and physical behavior.\n\nFor o
 ur training &amp\; support meetings\, all participants must have their cam
 eras on\, regardless of whether they are seeking credit or not. This requi
 rement is designed to encourage full engagement and connection among parti
 cipants\, fostering a more supportive atmosphere within our community. Ple
 ase note that individuals unable to participate with their cameras on will
  not be able to join the sessions.\n***Please Note: This class will be fac
 ilitated on the Zoom platform.\n Internet access and access to a computer/
 laptop/tablet/smartphone is required to attend.\nWe kindly request that pa
 rticipants avoid using distracting virtual backgrounds. For privacy\, we r
