Discussions will include RFA pre- and post-approval requiremen ts\, how to comply with County/State regulations once certified as a resou rce parent\, community resources available to children and caregivers\, an d how resource parents can build/expand their support network. Being a res ource parent is a rewarding experience that might come with questions\, so if you want to learn more about these topics or feel that you can benefi t from talking to others with similar experiences\, please join us.\n\nTop ic: A strong relationship with your foster child’s social worker can ma ke a meaningful difference in the support\, communication\, and stability a child receives. This class helps resource parents understand how to buil d an effective working partnership with the social worker and become an ac tive\, informed part of the child’s care team.\n\nLearning how your role connects to the child’s plan\, ways to support teamwork among professio nals and family members\, and what responsibilities belong to both the res ource parent and the social worker. You’ll also gain practical guidance on what information should be shared\, what information may be shared with you\, and how clear communication can help everyone work together in the best interest of the child.\n\nFor our training &\; support meetings\, all participants must have their cameras on\, regardless of whether they a re seeking credit or not.
