DESCRIPTION:Meets every 2nd Friday of the Month\n **No meeting in February
 \,  July &amp\; December**\nSupport Group Leader: MaryAnn Paschal\n\nRFA-
  A Shared Purpose!- This is an ongoing training and support team to help a
 ll types of caregivers\, relatives\, non-related extended family members (
 NREFMs)\, and community members navigate the RFA process in their caregivi
 ng journey. Discussions will include RFA pre- and post-approval requiremen
 ts\, how to comply with County/State regulations once certified as a resou
 rce parent\, community resources available to children and caregivers\, an
 d how resource parents can build/expand their support network. Being a res
 ource parent is a rewarding experience that might come with questions\, so
  if you want to learn more about these topics or feel that you can beneﬁ
 t from talking to others with similar experiences\, please join us.\n\nTop
 ic: We will focus on ways to keep visits child-centered and meaningful fo
 r both foster children and the birth parents. We will discuss the importan
 ce of visitation\, understanding developmental needs of the foster childre
 n\, and how important it is for the foster children to have positive relat
 ionships with their birth family. We will also identify the role and respo
 nsibilities of those planning the visits.\n\nFor our training &amp\; suppo
 rt meetings\, all participants must have their cameras on\, regardless of 
 whether they are seeking credit or not. This requirement is designed to en
 courage full engagement and connection among participants\, fostering a mo
 re supportive atmosphere within our community. Please note that individual
 s unable to participate with their cameras on will not be able to join the
  sessions.\n***Please Note: This class will be facilitated on the Zoom pla
 tform.\n Internet access and access to a computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone
  is required to attend.\nWe kindly request that participants avoid using d
