DESCRIPTION:Meets every 2nd Thursday of the month\n**No Meeting in December
 **\nSupport Group Leader: MaryJo Meer\n\nParenting Teens- Connect with a 
 peer-led\, trauma-informed community designed specifically for caregivers 
 of adolescents. This ongoing training and support group equips you to navi
 gate trauma responses\, foster independence\, and build trust with teens t
 hrough shared wisdom and knowledge-based strategies.\n\nTopic: Teens may 
 not always ask for connection in obvious ways\, but quality one-on-one tim
 e can make a powerful difference in how they feel seen\, valued\, and unde
 rstood. This class helps resource parents discover why intentional “spec
 ial time” matters\, how it differs from everyday routines or casual mome
 nts\, and how it can strengthen trust with the teens in their care. Throug
 h simple\, realistic strategies\, caregivers will leave with six clear ste
 ps for building connection\, encouraging open communication\, and showing 
 teens that they matter-not just when something needs to be done\, but simp
 ly because they are worth the time.\n***Please Note: This class will be fa
 cilitated on the Zoom platform.\n Internet access and access to a computer
 /laptop/tablet/smartphone is required to attend.\nFor our support group me
 etings\, all participants must have their cameras on\, regardless of whet
 her they are seeking credit or not. This requirement is designed to encour
 age full engagement and connection among participants\, fostering a more s
 upportive atmosphere within our community. Please note that individuals un
 able to participate with their cameras on will not be able to join the sup
 port group sessions.\nWe kindly request that participants avoid using dist
