DESCRIPTION:Meets every 2nd Thursday of the month\n**No Meeting in December
 **\nSupport Group Leader: MaryJo Meer\n\nParenting Teens- Connect with a 
 peer-led\, trauma-informed community designed specifically for caregivers 
 of adolescents. This ongoing training and support group equips you to navi
 gate trauma responses\, foster independence\, and build trust with teens t
 hrough shared wisdom and knowledge-based strategies.\n\nTopic: Understand
  the importance of attachment in parenting both for the children and paren
 ts who are fostering or adopting\; recognize the impact of fractured attac
 hments/lack of attachments on children's ability to attach\; can identify 
 strategies to develop healthy attachment bonds\, developing trust and deve
 loping children’s sense of connectedness and belonging\; know how to be 
 attuned to children\; recognizing and honoring children’s primary attach
 ment to their families.\n\nAttachment Part 1: Introduction to Attachment a
 nd Attachment Patterns\n***Please Note: This class will be facilitated on 
 the Zoom platform.\n Internet access and access to a computer/laptop/table
 t/smartphone is required to attend.\nFor our support group meetings\, all 
 participants must have their cameras on\, regardless of whether they are 
 seeking credit or not. This requirement is designed to encourage full enga
 gement and connection among participants\, fostering a more supportive atm
 osphere within our community. Please note that individuals unable to parti
 cipate with their cameras on will not be able to join the support group se
 ssions.\nWe kindly request that participants avoid using distracting virtu
 al backgrounds. For privacy\, we recommend using the blur feature instead.
