Online | Morning Support Group – Central: Why Rewards Don’t Work
12/01/2021 | 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Type of Class
Meets every 1st Wednesday of each month
Leader: Lenette Morales
Topic: Just as consequences don’t work in parenting, neither do rewards. It has also been suggested that rewards can decrease natural motivation, creativity and enjoyment. When parents lead with empathy and truly listen to their children’s needs, children in return are more likely to listen and reciprocate what they are being told. Join us to learn some tips on how changing your approach rather than giving rewards can be more effective when parenting children and youth.
