DESCRIPTION:Guest Speaker: Dr. Keisha Clark\n\nDr. Keisha Clark is the Pro
 gram Coordinator for the CWS Office of Equity\, where she leads efforts to
  create an antiracist system by addressing racial bias\, disproportionalit
 y\, and disparities impacting African American and Immigrant/Refugee famil
 ies\, as well as gender and sexual minorities (GSM). A native of New Orlea
 ns and a trauma-informed leader\, Dr. Clark collaborates with community an
 d institutional partners to promote diversity\, equity\, and inclusion\, e
 nhance workforce representation\, and improve outcomes for families and ch
 ildren. With expertise in cultural competence and resilience\, her work ha
 s influenced public\, private\, and academic sectors nationally and intern
 ationally\nDescription: It is not uncommon for a communication exchange to
  inadvertently become controversial. Did you know that we all have differ
 ent styles of communication based on our culture? This session covers the 
 basic principles of cultural humility and helps individuals develop awaren
 ess of their own cultural perspective and lens. It provides an understandi
 ng of the many cultural groups (intersectionality) we are all part of and 
 how these identities shape our views\, communication styles\, bias\, and v
 alues. We will learn how to foster healthy communication exchanges using m
 icro‐affirmations and the exploration of the four emotional intelligence
  skills: self‐awareness\, self‐ management\, social awareness\, and re
 lationship management.\nRegistration will close on Thursday\, February 6\,
