 his class students will learn and experience the central teachings of mind
 ful and compassionate communication\, how to be truly present in conversat
 ion and be aware of the impact of our words\, our patterns of communicatio
 n and how to build connection rather than separation with our speech.\n\nS
 pecial Guest Presenter: Bettina Heitmann\, Mindfulness Meditation Teacher\
 nBettina Heitmann is a graduate of the 2‐year Mindfulness Meditation Tea
 cher Certification Program\, sponsored by the University of California Ber
 keley Greater Good Science Center. She has practiced meditation and yoga f
 or 20 years and finds these practices to be hugely beneficial for people l
 iving in this fast paced and high stress society. Bettna was a social work
 er with Child Welfare Services\, including the bilingual Adoptions Unit\, 
 and non‐profit social service agencies for 13 years. She has a particula
 r interest in bringing mindfulness teachings to benefit Resource parents a
