We want to make transitions easier for them to manage. To do this\, we need tools and strategies to help them. Through this series on Transitions \, we will look at different times of transition in our children’s jour ney through foster care and learn how we can help make these times of tran sition easier for our children to navigate.\nVisitation: Visits can be ver y emotional for the children\, the birth parents\, and for Resource Parent s. We will discuss managing our own emotions as well as helping our childr en manage theirs. How to “front load” before a visit as well as “unl oad” after the visit. How to help visits run as smoothly as possible and how to handle issues that we have no control over.\nFor our training & \; support meetings\, all participants must have their cameras on\, regard less of whether they are seeking credit or not. This requirement is design ed to encourage full engagement and connection among participants\, foster ing a more supportive atmosphere within our community.
