DESCRIPTION:Meets every 3rd Monday of the month\n**No meetings in January o
 r February**\nSupport Group Leader: Valentine "Tina" Carmichael\n\nMindfu
 lness Mondays- These trainings offer resource parents a welcoming\, trauma
 -informed space to find support\, practice somatic tools\, strengthen conn
 ection and attachment\, and care for themselves while caring for children.
 \n\nTopic: Caring for a child or youth often involves navigating a comple
 x health system. This three‑part learning series is designed to support 
 resource parents\, foster parents\, caregivers\, and the professionals who
  work alongside them. The sessions provide essential information to help c
 aregivers understand the Medi‑Cal system and the services available to c
 hildren and youth in care. Social workers and staff who support caregivers
  may also find this series valuable for strengthening their understanding 
 of available benefits and helping families access needed services.\nPart 3
 : Enhanced Care Management (ECM) &amp\; Community Supports (CS)\nThe final
  session provides an overview of Enhanced Care Management and Community Su
 pports—specialized benefits available through Managed Care Plans that ca
 n offer additional assistance to foster youth and their caregivers. Partic
 ipants will learn how these services work\, how to access them\, and how t
 hey may support stability and well‑being. A Q&amp\;A segment will addres
 s questions related to access and eligibility.\nFor our training &amp\; su
 pport meetings\, all participants must have their cameras on\, regardless 
 of whether they are seeking credit or not. This requirement is designed to
  encourage full engagement and connection among participants\, fostering a
  more supportive atmosphere within our community. Please note that individ
 uals unable to participate with their cameras on will not be able to join 
 the sessions.\n***Please Note: This class will be facilitated on the Zoom 
 platform.\n Internet access and access to a computer/laptop/tablet/smartph
 one is required to attend.\nWe kindly request that participants avoid usin
 g distracting virtual backgrounds. For privacy\, we recommend using the bl
